Troy Healey

Troy Healey is a lover of life. Learning through living has been his personal mantra for some time. An avid traveler, drinker, “foodie”, adventure seeker and karaoke singer, Troy has learned a lot in his short amount of time on this Earth. As a current college student, Troy has experienced and realized what it actually means to learn. He has learned about life, the meaning, purpose and reason whilst travelling and living in various countries of Southern Africa and Western Europe. Troy’s ultimate dream is to open up a bar. Preferably on the sun drenched beaches of Mozambique or in the Observatory district of Cape Town, South Africa. As soon as possible Troy plans to travel again and start his life outside of the United States. “Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end”.

This course and this specific assignment have been thought-provoking. The thoughts that have come out of this course and assignment have re-affirmed what I thought that I already knew. Life isn’t about getting those good grades or being book smart. Certainly that could help. Life is all about doing what you love. As cliché as that actually is, it cannot be truer. Do what you love and do good things, because it is the right thing to do.
